About Me:
I have a history of crocheting for 20+ years. I have a span of starting/starting over my business 9 times, through a time period of trying to get it off the ground for over 14 years.
My childhood best friend and I taught each other how to crochet by YouTube in 2005 with a lot of patience. Growing up, I always wanted to become a business owner of some sort. At a young age I thought about selling single stickers for 15 cents, and offered only my friends and brothers my business items. After growing a little older was when I learned to crochet. It took me a good 5 years to really get the look of 'professional'-type items made. I somehow knew to never give up.
At 13, I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. After a few years went by, I became diagnosed with Schizophrenia as well along with Anxiety. At that point crocheting has become my rock. My everything. The only thing in this world I know I'll really be good at. Mental illness is what carried my love of crochet to the maximum. It has been to the point where I needed to crochet as much as I can every day for the past 16 years. So about 3 years into how much my mind loved it, I thought, why not make it into a business? Why not create something where I find a niche where every person is included? Why not become at service to people with my God-given gift? My mind can be at constant ease, and I can benefit by creating happy customers. Plus I want to show the world that a severely mentally ill person like me can do anything, even run a successful business.
In my whole span of trying to get my business off the ground, I have been thankful I was given the time to explore different yarn fibers and things like what fiber works best with what item or which category. I "perfected" the fiber part. When I go shopping for it, I factor how much is needed for each category of what I call 'project' or 'collection'.
My goal is to include categories like all-sized baby clothing, children's clothing, men's clothing, women's clothing, and Amigurumi (stuffed animals). I don't like to use the colors Dark Gray or Black in my items. I strive to include every person's size so everyone feels included. Thank you for reading my story and feel free to browse around!
Questions:
Do you follow a pattern for any items?
Mostly, I do not. The items that have *original pattern* at the top of each description means I have created that pattern. Items that do not start with that means I followed a pattern.
How is my order handled before shipping?
When an order is purchased, I gather all necessary items like a poly or bubble mailer, thank you card, business card, and your item.
No fragrance, perfume, lotion, or spray is added at any time. I live in a pet free, smoke free home.
What materials of yarn do you use?
I strive for a variety. I like to work with Wool, Cotton, Polyester, Linen, Alpaca, Polyamide, Viscose, and Acrylic.
I will not work with Hemp.
Who is your target audience?
Men, Women, Unisex, Children and Babies of all sizes!
What is the shipping price for an order?
All shipping prices depend on where you are located. I use a 'calculated shipping' profile for each item.
When is the final day I can buy something before it arrives in time for Christmas?
December 14th at the latest for orders placed in USA, and December 2nd for international orders.
